WINERY

WHERE OUR WINES ARE CRAFTED

Experiences

The winery, adjacent to the historic Villa Bracci and nestled within the vineyards of Montepulciano, harmoniously blends traditional architecture with modern technologies.
Renovated in the 1990s, it's designed to ensure efficiency at every stage: temperature-controlled fermentation in steel, aging in oak barrels, and bottle refinement in naturally climate-controlled underground cellars. Bottling occurs directly in line with the storage warehouse, ensuring quality and continuity right up to commercialization.

History

Nottola stands as one of Montepulciano's most prominent and internationally acclaimed wineries.
Established in 1992 by Anterivo Giomarelli, the winery is nestled within the ancient village once owned by the Bracci family, historic Florentine counts. This site, even in the 1700s, was home to a winery, an olive mill, stables, and a granary. Around 20 hectares of vineyards were cultivated in the surrounding lands, dedicated to producing quality wines that honor the region's rich tradition. Today, Nottola is a consolidated and respected estate, proudly continuing as a family-operated business, embodying Anterivo's original vision and deep commitment to the land.

EXTRA-VIRGIN OLIVE OIL

FROM OUR GROVES TO THE TABLE

OIL

Our extra virgin olive oil is born right here on the estate, from approximately 400 trees cultivated in our olive groves. These trees belong to the Pendolino, Leccino, Moraiolo, Frantoio, and Oriolo varieties.
The olives are hand-picked and pressed within hours of harvest using cold extraction. This mechanical process keeps the temperature below 27°C, perfectly preserving the oil's aromas, freshness, and nutritional properties.
The result is a green oil with golden reflections, a fresh aroma, and a balanced taste, featuring a light, characteristic bitter note typical of Tuscan cultivars. It's perfect raw, elegantly complementing vegetables, soups, grilled meats, and fish.
